Calusa Scouting is.... The mission of the Boy Scouts of America and Calusa District is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Scouting is about building character, developing personal fitness, and learning leadership and citizenship. These goals are achieved for the 7-10 year olds in our Cub Scout Program.
Cub Scouting means “doing.” You have lots to do as a Cub Scout—crafts, games, sports, songs, stories, and puzzles, to name a few things. Much of the fun happens right in the den and pack. Cub Scouts also go to events like the annual Blue and Gold Banquet, field contests, and the Pinewood Derby. They go on field trips. They go camping and have other kinds of outdoor adventures. They take part in community events. Cub Scouts do all sorts of exciting stuff! http://www.scouting.org/CubScouts.aspx Boy Scouts are in the outdoors.
