Still need more items for Haunted house.  Remember not just ideas but items to make it happen
The Cub scouts activities are all set and ready to go.
On the Boy Scout end I still need someone to volunteer on the following items.

• 5 mile hike with compass and map
  
• Fire building
  
• Pioneering ( knots and lashings)
  All the items will be there for fire building and pioneering I just need a adult and possible some older scouts to help with training new scouts in these areas.  If you have extra burn tables please bring them so we can have as many fire station going as possible.
  Do not forget to register as soon as possible or at least call to give numbers.

  Scoutoberfest Information sheet
  1.                  Scoutoberfest date are as follows October 16 thru 18. The people who need to set up can              start setting up by October 10^th.  The park is ours from the 10^th thru the 18^th .
  2.                  Cub scouts will be having games, arts and crafts.
  3.                  Cub scout event and activity committee, we will be showing movies both Friday and        Saturday evening along with popcorn.
  4.                  The following are positions that need to be filled to assist in this event.
  ?           Boy scout event coordinator
  ?           Saturday night campfire coordinator
  ?           list of events as follows for Boy scouts, need people to sign up to run the following events.
  ?           Compass or compass navigation - for this event I will need someone to set a couple of creative compass courses possible using topol maps, directional navigation, distance. I need new and different ideas.  Will need a course for younger scouts or new scouts.
  ?           Fire building with array of ways to start fires on fire tables.  We will be needing fire tables as many as possible for this event.  Please bring extra fire tables for this event. 
  ?           Fire starting with matches                                                            
  ?           Fire starting with magnifying glass
  ?           Fire starting with flint and steel wool
  ?           Lighting lanterns both gas and propane.
  ?           Camp stoves of different kinds both gas and propane.
  ?           A display of different backpacking stoves and have hands on lighting them.

  ?           Dutch oven committee,  this will be a excellent time for your scouts to practice there.
  ?           Dutch oven cooking.  I will need a group of people to do Dutch oven cooking demonstration throughout the day on Saturday. 
  ?           I need older scouts along with adults to help with the haunted house set up along with new ideas and props.  We will be setting up the week before and we need your help.
  ?           We are wanting all troops to participate in a simple Movie contest for Saturday night camp fire.  A simple 5 minute film on DVD that can be shown to all.  We can not allow Lake Placid Ventures 482 to continue.  So Venture group 482 made a challenge to everyone to see who can produce the best short movie.
